On Thursday we will have a Public Hearing on Open the Government bills
at our Statehouse.. So what do you need to do? Call Call Call and come testify for 3 minutes on why you believe in transparency..
Here is a good reason why. Yesterday, I woke up eager to see the above link include the State Administration and Regulatory
Oversight public meeting list on our www.massgov/legis website. When I did not find this I called the Committtee. The receptionist stated they sent
the notice to the Docket office last week. So I called the man in charge Dan Raneery.. He looks at his email and finds
an email dated 936AM 6 24 09.. that states sorry for the delay.. than he states isnt this a admission of not sending it last
week? So if you want to take this further.. call the Committee 617 722 2000 and ask when they sent the email..
because that is the proceedure to get a notice up. After 6 years of schlepping all over the building chasing down hearings
I discovered Mr. Raneery last week on a mission to find why the bills are erasing after the week. Today I see the bills finally
posted. But that is not within the 48 hour notice RULE.
So
the key word here is RULE. RULE is a bad word and we want the word RULE removed from the Legislative GENERAL COURT when
it comes to open meeting law. If you think of the damage done in the few years since they removed themselves from the
OPEN MEETING LAW it would give serious question to the substantial preponderance of evidence to its value.
In the season of enormous debt we all need to be involved in the remedy. I say the public is now requesting
responsibility responsible legislation and a serious tracking of the stimulous funding now filling the cracks in the economy.
Let's face it the documentation ofa public record was a very serious thing in the 60's and the deterioration
and parralel force of transparency have battled themselves to the outcome we now seek to remedy. The Library cannot
even find the documents on public hearings how will the public have access to this information for study, research, and tracking
of bills when no accountability is in place to take steno notes , no cassette law, no video law, the only thing is stack
pile and store. When new people come the sleeper stupor remains and it becomes horrendous to know what is going on.
It is time to come up to the plate. Soon all these elected officials will
pass the doors on to their next elected officials. It is time to turn back time and make demands to capture the record
in digital format equiping all with the tools to see democracy at work. This is what our freedom pays for in every tax
dollar. When you ride the rail, the roads through the tolls, please think about this, there is no tracking of public
record at the statehouse..and the cameras are not rolling.. Follow the money! Please the people now.
Get that record. Get it on tape. Then you will be able to rebuild the trust now fallen in the pot holed streets.
Please support the bills on the adgenda in B1 11AM tomorrow. Come testify come support the peoples effort to open
the government and let the world see Massachusetts not up to tricks. Tricks or not we want it caught on tape..
archived and respected for the Government is what WE THE PEOPLE WORK FOR.. WE WANT ACCOUNTABILITY.. And I predict the
crooks will be deterred from running for office.. they will stay out of Government and be afraid of being CAUGHT ON TAPE..
Trust me! SUPPORT S1458 Thank you Janet Aldrich, CatchoftheDay, Video News Freelance Reporting, Comflm
Registry President, and Videographer keeping the public record public..
