Subject: Re: Lowell Sun article Good Morning People, Please
don’t be surprised when Massachusetts papers assume that if you are anti-tax you must be a dreaded Republican.
For over fifty years here government has been the process of demonizing the creators of wealth – i.e. the industrial
might of New England’s river valley mills, and promising to confiscate their ill-gotten gains and spread them
around to the non-working poor. The mill owners eventually gave
up and departed, - first for the South, then for Mexico and Asia. No more ill-gotten gains to confiscate. Let’s
see, who’s next in line? Aah, of course, the middle class! Tax them, - we still need to provide for
the non-working poor – now in their third and fourth and fifth generations. What the print press is learning the hard way, i.e. the Globe’s current crisis, - is that the non-working
poor do not buy newspapers, and they don’t advertise in them. Ooops! But old habits die hard, - and political and social ideals swallowed whole during your college years don’t
change much in midlife, if you live in an insular world. So you keep drinking the Kool-Aid and believing that the poor
must be poor because the rich and the middle classes don’t care. And if you are against taxes you must be one
of those upper-class uncaring Republicans. And in the end,
when paper after paper has shut down for lack of readers and advertisers, where will all these socially aware and politically
enlightened reporters work? Some will ask The MEssiah for a bailout [more tax dollars stripped from those selfish rich
people] because “they are just too important to fail”. Yeah, right! Bottom line Folks, the “Press” as it exists today is neither fair nor our friend.
They are living in their own world, - they see things as they want to see them, - and they report only the low-hanging
fruit, - but with the slant they want to put on it. Years from now you’ll see them living in government
warehouses still muttering about “when I was a reporter”.

by J Rizoli 21309, however extracted from the London Times: Subject: Obituary from London Times Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records
were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: - Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm; - Life isn't
always fair; - and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies
(don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly
when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school
for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in
disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and
wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and
criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't
defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense
finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled
a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents,
Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility,
and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; -I Know My Rights -I
Want It Now -Someone Else Is To Blame -I'm A Victim Not many attended his funeral
because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on |
Poll: who would
you vote for Irene Sendler or Al Gore.. Al won the nobel peace prize..this woman lost.. The prize doesn't
always go to the most deserving-- There recently was a death
of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an 'ulterior
motive' ... She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom
of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids.) She also had a dog
in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldie rs of course wanted
nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During her time of doing this, she managed
to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infa nts. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her
severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under
a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted. Last year
Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize ... She was not selected. Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming. |

CATCHING WILD PIGS
There
was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One
day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and
stretching as if his back hurt.
The
professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in
his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's
government and install a communist government
In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked
a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'
The professor thought it was
a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke.
'You catch wild pigs by
finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find
it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one
side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat
the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to
eat again. You continue until you have all four Side's of the fence up with a gate in the last side.
The pigs that are used to the free corn start to come through the gate
to eat, and then you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.
Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their
freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free
corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves,
so they accept their captivity.
The
young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government
keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental
income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant
crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc, etc, etc. While we continue to lose our
freedoms - just a little at a time.
One
should always remember: There is no such thing as a free Lunch! Also, a politician will never provide
a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
So, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help'
is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this
on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably
delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!
In this 'very important' election year, listen closely
to what the candidates are promising you - just maybe, you will be able to tell who is about to
slam the gate on America.
'A government big enough
to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.' Thomas Jefferson

Brilliant expose of the state we find ourselves in is stated here:
We are presently in the midst of the worst and most dangerous wave of all, the tsunami of worldwide Materialism.
"Resistance will cost much in terms of sacrifice, for it asks men of good will and good conscience to
stand firm in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds . . . The manifestations of the struggle vary from continent to continent,
but are the same in essence: mankind is presently involved in a worldwide war against the eternal value of the human person

the Ant and the Contact Lens: a true story ..wow

Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was
taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked
out her contact lens. "Great", she thought. "Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the
bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry."
She looked and looked,
hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there.
She felt the panic rising in her,
so she began praying.. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens.
When she
got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm
now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought
of the bible verse "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth."
She thought, "Lord,
You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help
me." Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff
they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody
lose a contact lens?"
Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly
across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!
The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a
cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant
lugging that contact lens with the caption, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't
eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."
I
think it would do all of us some good to say, "God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no
good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will."
God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called!
Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every
day Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him....I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)<
BR> This is a simple test.. If you love GOD and are not ashamed of all the marvelous things He has done for
you, send this to ten people and the person who sent it to you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "You Gave Me A Mountain"
