posting April 5 2009 to DS from JAldrich Standing anywhere without a permit is not allowed. With a permit that is allowed.
Without a permit one can be moving on the sidewalk with a sign but I never heard of a law that prevents anyone from obtaining
signatures when a signature drive is on Secretary of State forms and has been announced .. that is bogus..I think the signature
sheets can be copied as well ..

April 5, 2009 warning from DS on Tea Party protest sent 4309 If you are at a TEAPARTY, don't stand on the sidewalks.
In April 2002, I
was standing on a sidewalk in Bridgewater, Ma collecting signatures. MGL c. 56, s.11.
This
was on the sidewalk adjacent to RT-18, a state highway and the sidewalks being state property.
Bridgewater.
police told me I could not collect signatures on the sidewalk.
My lawsuit against the town was moved to federal court though no federal RIGHTS were in the counts.
Reginald Lindsay in the Federal Court told me no one has
the right to stand on sidewalks and collect signatures.
Lindsay dismissed my lawsuit against the town of Bridgewater!
There was more justice under King George III, than today in Mass.
There are no civil rights under MGL c.265,
s.37 in Mass.
An arrest record in Massachusetts, even if all charges are dismissed, will eternally put your
name on CORI as a CRIMINAL OFFENDER.
Imagine what they could do to us if there was no Constitution!!!!!!

"The right of peaceable assembly is a right cognate to those of free speech and free press,
and is equally fundamental." De Jonge v. Oregon, 299 U. S. 353, 299
U. S. 364 (1937). People assemble in public places not only to speak or to take action, but also
to listen, observe, and learn; indeed, they may "assembl[e] for any lawful purpose," Hague v. CIO, 307
U. S. 496, 307 U. S. 519 (1939) (opinion of
Stone, J.). Subject to the traditional time, place, and manner restrictions, see, e.g., Cox v. New Hampshire, 312
U. S. 569 (1941); see also Cox v. Louisiana, 379 U. S. 559,
379 U. S. 560-564 (1965), streets, sidewalks, and parks are places traditionally
open, where First Amendment rights may be exercised, see Hague v. CIO, supra, at 307 U. S. 515 (opinion of Roberts, J.);
a trial courtroom also is a public place where the people generally -- and representatives of the media -- have a
right to be present, and where their presence historically has been thought to enhance the integrity and quality of what takes
place. [Footnote 14]

you have gotta go to the www.freepress.net, site and read the update.. the Reporters have been freed charges dropped and what now??? Thank
heaven they were, but is that what is needed??? I say they need to issue an apology to Independant Media set a protocol of
never again or be sued.. send me an email on this one..please comflm@yahoo.com,
The following message was edited due to the message
on the bottom.. I went in to the Mayor's office to ask about the story the Herald published that the City Hall will close
all public meetings to Videography. That receptionist stated the Mayor had nothing to do with this.. the Press Office
visited also by Comflm, Registry, siid it was the City Council that was responsible. So I went over to the City Council
Office and Justin, see below states that it was not generated by them but a question will come up and it will be a public
hearing. I inform them all that the public is furious with this and they shoud beware that any change to open meeting law
will get a big reaction. If they want to recuse themselves they should issue a public statement. See below.
However, the statement has been shortened as the bottom message is legally binding. It is not my style to withhold public
meeting information. I wil call them on it. Comflm,
Registry has for a year been trying to get Rules to release the law that was filed late Docket 4527 on Legislative Public
Hearings. That law would compel the legislature to videotape all public meetins. Please act now for to sleep in the middle
of this storm will change America for a long time. Posted
