October 8 2010 pink slip the Statehouse
Yesterday October 7, 2010 I made a trip to Boston. I planned to distribute a hard copy of the petition on ComflmPollPage,
I petitions. I went to Kinkos by Dunkin Donuts on Tremont Street. I asked if they had some good paper that I could use
to print the petition. No they don't do that anymore. So you just swallowed up Kinkos and stole that good feature
of going there to pick out a great paper if you printed the project yourself! What a shame they took the name Kinkos
and ripped off the public of that great store's business. I decided to just have them use a plain color.
As I was looking at the colors it hit me. Use light pink. Tacky? Not so. I decided to pink slip the
Statehouse and asked to have my 200 sheets done in pink. What a cool idea. I then went to Suffolk University to
watch the Treasurer Debate before marching all over delivering the Petitions. I gave out a few to Karen and Steve at
head table and a few Reporters. After, I headed to the Statehouse. I started on the bottom floor. It was
about 2pm. By 450 I had covered the whole place and still had a group. What had I missed. The first floor
wing that doesn't connect. I headed over there. By 530pm I was done. I had still a section near the Auditorium
on First Floor but I had gotten most. I never would have believed I could have done it in one trip.
So, please
tell your Senator and Representative to sign on to putting the Statehouse back under the open meeting public record law asap.
If they won't I gave them the pink slip.
