To get on the Mass Resistiance Email list email Brian@MassResistance.org,

This is certainly a shocking exposé of the true workings of the Romney administration at that crucial time -- which Romney must have been fully aware of and in agreement with. But it's also a frightening view of where the Massachusetts Republican establishment headed regarding traditional morality and social issues. Winslow has considerable influence and stature in the state party, which has given this race high priority.

Romney and Winslow had a close working relationship going back several years. Winslow was Romney's chief legal counsel in his 1994 US Senate race against Ted Kennedy.

Note that MassResistance has been pointing out since 2004 that same-sex marriage is still not legal in Massachusetts. The marriage statute still reads "man/woman", and the GLBT lobby can't get their bill allowing marriage "regardless of gender" to a vote (as confirmed by Winslow). The Court told the Legislature (not Winslow and Romney) to make that change, but they never have!

Not surprisingly, Winslow's website makes no mention of social issues. (He's right in line with the state Republican establishment on that!) He does show off his old bike in a sappy nod to the Scott Brown truck. Winslow and Scott Brown have been close friends going back to their days as college classmates.

Winslow's opponent, Stanley Nacewicz, is no slouch himself. He's endorsed by the Massachusetts Teachers Assn., NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts

A great opportunity for pro-family candidates
Over the past few decades the liberal establishment – and particularly the homosexual lobby – has had a virtual lock on the State House. It’s been, in a word, horrible. Could this year mark a major change to that?  We think it could.

But it won’t be easy. The Massachusetts Republican establishment is now officially pro-gay and pro-abortion. Much of the state’s conservative movement is caving in. Major Massachusetts pro-life groups are openly endorsing pro-choice candidates. We’ve tried our best to get you good information to wade through all this on as many races as possible.

Write-In Races - Statewide Republican Primary!

Republican Primary: Write-in for Governor and Lt. Governor

Charlie Baker and Richard Tisei, who've been anointed as candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor by Massachusetts Republican Party establishment, are arguably among the most radical anti-family Republican-party-endorsed Governor or Lt. Governor candidates ever in Massachusetts -- or in of any state in America. In any place but Massachusetts they would be liberal Democrats, not Republicans. How bad are Baker and Tisei? Click here.

Since the convention two outstanding and well-qualified pro-life and pro-family candidates have come forward willing to challenge Baker and Tisei as write-in candidates:

Scott Lively for Governor and Keith Davis for Lt. Governor.

WRITE IN:  Scott Lively, 60 Sherman St., Springfield
                  Keith Davis, Holyoke

INSTRUCTIONS to write in pro-family candidates on Sept. 14

It is VERY important that you vote for these two in Tuesday’s primary. This will send a message to the RINO Republican establishment. Since relatively few people vote in most primaries, they could possibly (tho it's a longshot) appear on the ballot in the November general election instead of Baker or Tisei! This has actually happened twice in Massachusetts in recent years -- a write-in candidate beat a ballot candidate in a primary in state rep races, and both times that candidate went on to became the state rep.

Republican Primary: Write-in for State Attorney General

Don't get us started on why the Massachusetts Republican Party was so incompetent that it did not field a candidate for Attorney General. There are several rumors floating around about this. But judging from the way potential candidates were rebuffed at the Convention last April, it appears that the Republican establishment actually decided not to challenge Martha Coakley.

In any case, both Guy Carbone of Belmont and Jim McKenna of Millbury have decided to try to get the necessary 10,000 write-in votes in the Republican Primary to get on the ballot against Coakley in November. Each of them has support of various pro-family groups. Both are good, from what we've determined so far. Guy Carbone is 76 years old and we wonder how much energy he has left (McKenna is 49). We might give the nod to McKenna, but there are strong arguments for each.

WRITE IN:  James McKenna, Millbury
    OR         Guy Carbone, Belmont

INSTRUCTIONS to write in pro-family candidates on Sept. 14

Statewide Offices

STATE TREASURER - OPEN SEAT

D - STEVEN GROSSMAN, Newton  [Globe]

D - STEVE MURPHY, Boston

Just what we'd need, another liberal moonbat running the state Treasury. From our standpoint, both are bad choices. Remember Shannon O'Brien?

STATE AUDITOR - OPEN SEAT

NOTE: The state Auditor would seem to be immune from "culture war" issues. But a huge problem is that enormous tax money going to left-wing programs goes un-audited and unaccounted for.

D - SUZANNE BUMP, Great Barrington  [Globe]

D - GUY GLODIS, Auburn

D - MIKE LAKE, Boston  [Herald]

Former state rep Guy Glodis would be a Republican in any other state, and is certainly more conservative than the Republican establishment here. A Boston Globe columnist recently complained that Glodis is "on the wrong side of nearly every liberal issue -- gay rights, the death penalty, gun control, taxes, and diversity." However, since Glodis is pro-choice we can't give him our high rating. On the other hand, Suzanne Bump (who marched in June's Boston Gay Pride Parade) and Mike Lake are textbook leftists. We think Glodis has the campaign in place to win this one.

R - MARY CONNAUGHTON, Framingham  [Globe]  [Herald]

R - KAMAL JAIN, Lowell

Mary Connaughton is very qualified, has a record of conservative public service, and the only actual auditor running for State Auditor. Kamal Jain is an interesting guy, but probably would get snowed a lot in this job. The trouble is, both of them boycotted the Lexington Tea Party in July because MassResistance was there. Jain specifically named us as the reason he wasn't going. So we can't endorse either of them, if this is the way shun being around pro-family issues.

Congress

Congress - DISTRICT 2 - Incumbent: Rep. RICHARD NEAL

R - JAY FLEITMAN, Northampton

R - THOMAS WESLEY, Hopedale

Tom Wesley is "definitely pro-life" and with us on the marriage issue and "Don't ask don't tell." Fleitman "supports gay rights and civil unions, though not gay marriage" and "opposes abortion in third trimester" but not before. This should be a pretty easy choice.

Congress - DISTRICT 3 - Incumbent: Rep. JAMES MCGOVERN

R - ROBERT CHIPMAN, Plainville

R - ROBERT DELLE, Westborough

R - BRIAN HERR, Hopkinton

R - MARTY LAMB, Holliston

R - MICHAEL STOPA, Holliston

"I'm trying to be the most conservative member of the bunch," Robert Delle told a local newspaper.  We can't argue much with that. Marty Lamb is also pretty conservative and a very aggressive candidate. Michael Stopa is very interesting (and reasonably conservative), but is pro-choice.  Stopa is a physicist at Harvard -- probably the most right-wing guy in his department, we'd guess.

Congress - DISTRICT 4 - Incumbent: Rep. BARNEY FRANK

D -*BARNEY FRANK, Newton

D - RACHEL BROWN, Quincy

Rachel Brown is a LaRouche candidate running as a Democrat. The LaRouche people get some of this stuff right, tho other stuff is a bit out there. But Barney Frank is 100% bad.

R - SEAN BIELAT, Brookline  [Herald]

R - EARL SHOLLEY, Norfolk

Earl Sholley is 100% with us on all the issues, is a smart guy, and a tireless campaigner who got 40% against Cheryl Jacques (in Scott Brown’s old Senate district) at the height of her career. But he’s been shunned for years by the GOP establishment because of his staunch conservatism. Sean Bielat suddenly appeared on the scene and has been supported heavily by the GOP establishment -- and especially the Romney people, who have gotten him on several national TV shows and an unbelievable number major venues, endorsements, etc. Bielat has a lot of RINO in him in what we’ve seen so far. For example, he complains about "the far right", which should tell you everything you need to know. He avoided debating Sholley, has carried on a pretty negative campaign against him, and said he wasn't sure he'd support Sholley against Barney Frank if Sholley won the primary. Unbelievable.

Congress - DISTRICT 5 - Incumbent: Rep. NIKKI TSONGAS

R - JONATHAN GOLNIK, Carlisle

R - SAM MEAS, Haverhill

R - ROBERT SHAPIRO, Andover

R - THOMAS WEAVER, Westford

Sam Meas and Thomas Weaver are both good across the board.  Weaver says he is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, etc. Golnik is pro-choice but supports traditional marriage. Shapiro is 100% pro-life.

Congress - DISTRICT 6 - Incumbent: Rep. JOHN TIERNEY

R - BILL HUDAK, Boxford

R - ROBERT McCARTHY, Saugus

Both of these guys are good. But Hudak has definitely carried on a more energetic and aggressive campaign and has raised a ton of money.

Congress - DISTRICT 7 - Incumbent: Rep. EDWARD MARKEY

R - GERRY DEMBROWSKI, Woburn

R - THOMAS TIERNEY, Framingham

Gerry Dembrowski is the real thing. He deserves 100% support. Tierney is basically a shill for the opposition, from what we can see.

Congress - DISTRICT 9 - Incumbent: Rep. Stephen Lynch

D -*STEPHEN LYNCH, Boston  [Herald]

D - MAC D'ALESSANDRO, Milton  [Globe]

Stephen Lynch, as we've reported, used to be a pro-family guy but since going to Congress has gone completely pro-gay. Mac D'Alessandro is actually worse, however. D'Alessandro is a far-left SEIU union guy put up to run because Lynch wasn't liberal enough for them (or the Boston Globe)!

R - VERNON HARRISON, Braintree

R - KEITH LEPOR, Boston  [Globe]

Keith Lepor is friendly with the Tea Party movement and despite his Boston Globe endorsement seems like a pretty good choice.

Congress - DISTRICT 10 - OPEN SEAT -
   Incumbent: Rep. Bill Delahunt

D - WILLIAM KEATING, Quincy  [Herald]

D - ROBERT O'LEARY, Barnstable  [Globe]

O'Leary is currently the Senate Chairman of the Education Committee in the Mass. Legislature. He has supported all the horrible bills and opposed the good ones, despite hearing our passionate testimony. Keating is strongly pro-choice and supports the homosexual agenda, including same-sex "marriage."

R - ROBERT HAYDEN, Hanover

R - RAY KASPEROWICZ, Cohasset

R - JOE MALONE, Scituate [Globe]

R - JEFFREY PERRY, Sandwich  [Herald]

This has probably gotten the most press of any primary race. What a mess. We wish we could endorse Jeffrey Perry because he is with us on all the issues and as a State Representative has been fearless on the immigration issue. But when the pressure is on, he's let us down a few times on key things. His support for Eric Dahlberg over Sandi Martinez (see below) in their state senate race is horrible, since Dahlberg is pro-choice and pro same-sex "marriage". Joe Malone is pro-choice but good on the other social stuff. He's endorsed by the Boston Globe and a liberal Herald columnist, and of course that makes us wonder. He seems to have brushed off the money scandal back when he was State Treasurer. Ray Kasperowicz, is pro-choice and doesn't seem quite ready for the big leagues.

State Senate

Senate - First Bristol & Plymouth-(Fall River,Westport,Swansea)

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Joan M. Menard (not running)

D - MICHAEL COOGAN, Freetown

D - LORNE LAWLESS, Somerset

D - JOHN MITCHELL, Fall River

D - MICHAEL RODRIGUES, Westport

The above are based on MCFL's ratings. The winner takes on a pro-choice Republican.  Rodrigues is currently a state rep in this district -- one of the better Democrats.

Senate - Cape & Islands - (Cape Cod, Nantucket)

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Robert O'Leary (running for Congress)

D - SHEILA LYONS, Wellfleet

D - DANIEL WOLF, Harwich  [MEQ]

R - JAMES CROCKER, Barnstable

R - ERIC STEINHILBER, Barnstable

Senate - First Essex - (Haverhill, Newburyport, Methuen)

Incumbent: Steven Baddour

R - STEPHEN COLE, Newburyport

R - SEAN DOWNING, Methuen

The winner takes on Baddour.

Senate - Second Essex & Middlesex - (Lawrence, Andover, Tewksbury)

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Susan Tucker (not running)

D - BARRY FINEGOLD, Andover

D - JOHN KELLY, Dracut  (dropped out)

D - DEBBIE SILBERSTEIN, Andover  [PP]

D - JACK WILSON, Andover

Susan Tucker was as bad as any of these. Finegold is a current state rep in that district, so he already has a record (and it's pretty bad).

R - PATRICK RAHILLY, Tewksbury

R - JAMISON TOMASEK, Andover

Senate - Hampden - W.Springfield, Agawam

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Stephen Buoniconti (not running)

D - SUSAN DAWSON, Agawam

D - RONALD PATENAUDE, West Springfield  [PP]

D - JAMES WELCH, West Springfield

Welch is the current state representative from that area, now running for Senate.

R - KENNETH CONDON, West Springfield

R - ROBERT MAGOVERN, Agawam

Bob Magovern is a State Committeman who ran for state rep in 2006 and got 40%.

Senate - First Middlesex - Lowell, Tyngsborough, Westford

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Steven Panagiotakos (not running)

D - CHRISTIAN DOHERTY, Lowell

D - EILEEN DONOGHUE, Lowell  [MEQ]  [PP]

The winner takes on a Republican and Independent.

Senate - Third Middlesex - Waltham, Chelmsford, Lincoln

Incumbent: Susan Fargo

R - ERIC DAHLBERG, Chelmsford

R - SANDI MARTINEZ, Chelmsford

This race completely summarizes the clash between the RINO Republican establishment and the conservative base. The incumbent, Susan Fargo, is an off-the-charts liberal. Sandi Martinez is a completely pro-family. She is the former state CWA chairman and currently head of the Massachusetts Republican Assembly. She’s run against Fargo the last two times, each time getting just shy of 40%. But now Fargo is feeling the heat and has been publicly moderating her views considerably over the past several months.

But this year Eric Dahlberg showed up out of nowhere to challenge Sandi in the primary. Dahlberg is pro-choice, pro-gay “marriage”, and openly hostile to the pro-family movement. Dahlberg is being supported 100% by the state Republican establishment against Sandi. Former Governor Paul Cellucci (who is pro-choice) is on Dahlberg’s committee, as is Rep. Jeffrey Perry and several other major Party figures -- and more are working in the background. In addition, Dahlberg’s campaign has launched particularly nasty personal attacks against Sandi, while Sandi has tried to stay with the issues.

We’ve never seen anything quite like this, but it’s clearly a message being sent by the RINO party establishment about cleansing the party of social conservatism.

Senate - Middlesex & Essex - Malden, Wakefield, Stoneham

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Richard Tisei (running for Lt. Governor)

D - KATHERINE CLARK, Melrose  [PP]

D - MIKE DAY, Stoneham

Clark is another far-left unrepentant moonbat. The winner takes on Republican Craig Spadafora of Malden.

Senate - First Middlesex & Norfolk - Newton, Brookline, Wellesley

Incumbent: Cynthia Creem

D -*CYNTHIA STONE CREEM, Newton  [Globe]  [MEQ]  [PP]

D - CHARLES RUDNICK, Newton

They're both pretty bad, but Rudnick would most likely do less damage. Rudnick favors school choice and promises to be more fiscally conservative than Creem.

Senate - Second Suffolk and Middlesex - Boston, Cambridge

Incumbent: Steven Tolman

D -*STEVEN TOLMAN, Boston  [PP]

D - WILLIAM FEEGBEH, Boston

There is no Republican or Independent running. It would be great if Tolman could be shown the door. Feegbeh has been endorsed by MFCL.

Senate - Middlesex, Suffolk & Essex - Cambridge, Everett, Chelsea

Incumbent: Sal DiDomenico

D -*SAL DiDOMENICO, Everett  [MEQ]

D - TIMOTHY FLAHERTY, Cambridge

Both are pretty bad. DiDomenico is probably a bit worse, if that makes a difference. The winner takes on Republican Barbara Bush of Boston.

Senate - Norfolk, Bristol & Plymouth - Milton, Canton, Randolph

Incumbent: Brian Joyce

R - BOB BURR, Canton

R - RICHARD LIVINGSTON, Milton

The winner takes on Brian Joyce.

Senate - Norfolk & Plymouth - Quincy, Braintree, Holbrook

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Michael Morrissey (not running)

D - JOHN KEENAN, Quincy

D - ARTHUR TOBIN, Quincy

The winner takes on Republican Daniel Dewey of Quincy.

Senate - Second Suffolk - Boston

Incumbent: Sonia Rosa Chang-Diaz

D -*SONIA CHANG-DÍAZ, Boston  [Globe]  [MEQ]  [PP]

D - HASSAN WILLIAMS, Boston

Chang-Diaz is really terrible and anyone would be better.  The one good thing we know about Hassan Williams is that he refuses to endorse gay "marriage", which has infuriated the homosexual lobby. That should earn his vote, if nothing else.

Senate - Suffolk & Norfolk - Boston, Dedham, Norwood

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Marian Walsh (not running)

D - MICHAEL RUSH, Boston

D - MICHAEL WALSH, Westwood  [Globe]

Michael Rush is currently a state rep. The winner takes on Brad Williams, a Republican.

State House of Representatives

House - 1st Berkshire - North Adams, Williamstown

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Daniel Bosley (not running)

D - DAVID BISSAILLON, Adams

D - GAILANNE CARIDDI, North Adams

D - EDWARD MacDONALD, Adams

All three are considered "anti-life" by MCFL.

House - 2nd Berkshire - Pittsfield, Northfield, Dalton

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Denis E. Guyer (not running)

D - PAUL MARK, Hancock

D - NOREEN SURINER, Middlefield

D - THOMAS SZCZEPANIAK, Dalton

R - MICHAEL CASE, Washington

R - ROSANNE FRIERI, Richmond

Michael Case is pro-life, and pro-family and has extensive experience in the military.  The winners of these primaries take on an Independent. Rosanne Frieri has suggested raising the sales tax in her debates with Case!

House - 4th Bristol - Rehoboth, Seekonk, Swansea

Incumbent: Steven D'Amico

R - STEVEN HOWITT, Seekonk

R - DAVID SAAD, Seekonk

Howitt is a very personable guy, but is pro-choice and pro-gay "marriage".  We've been told that Saad is top notch. The winner takes on D'Amico.

House - 7th Bristol - (Fall River)

Incumbent: Kevin Aguiar

D - KEVIN AGUIAR, Fall River

D - ALAN SILVIA, Fall River

Aguiar isn't as terrible as some of the other Democrats in the State House, but that's not saying a lot. Silvia is endorsed by MCFL. The winner takes on CJ Ferry, a Republican.

House - 8th Bristol - Fall River, Westport

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Michael Rodrigues (running for Senate)

D - DAVID DENNIS, Fall River

D - JOHN RODRIGUES, Fall River

D - PAUL SCHMID, Westport

There is no Republican running. The winner takes on an Unenrolled candidate.

House - 9th Bristol - Dartmouth, New Bedford

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: John F. Quinn (not running)

D - CHRISTOPHER MARKEY, Dartmouth

D - RAYMOND MEDEIROS., Dartmouth

D - ROBERT TAVARES, Dartmouth

Tavares is endorsed by MFCL, which considers Medeiros "anti-life". The winner takes on a Republican and Independent.

House - 11th Bristol - New Bedford, Acushnet

Incumbent: Robert M. Koczera

D -*ROBERT KOCZERA, New Bedford

D - SEAN BURKE, New Bedford

Koczera is only moderately bad. Is Burke worse?  Hard to tell. The winner takes on a Republican.

D - JERALD PARISELLA, Beverly

The winner takes on Republican Brett Schetzsle.

House - 9th Essex - Saugus, Wakefield, Lynnfield

Incumbent: Mark Falzone

D -*MARK FALZONE, Saugus  [MEQ]  [PP]

D - ANTHONY GUARDIA, Wakefield

Falzone is as bad as they come. The homosexual lobby has sent out thousands of mailers to get him re-elected in this race.

R - RAYMOND IGOU, Saugus

R - DONALD WONG, Saugus

Igou is considered VERY pro-family, and would be a great replacement for Falzone.

House - 14th Essex - Lawrence, N.Andover

Incumbent: David M. Torrisi

R - KEVIN BEGLEY, North Andover

R - STANLEY NOVAK, North Andover

Stanley Novak is pro-life, pro-family, pro-traditional marriage. The winner takes on Torrisi.

D - LEE CHAUVETTE, Athol

D - MARTIN McGUANE, Greenfield

Incumbent: Brian Michael Ashe

R - MARIE ANGELIDES, Longmeadow

R - ENRICO VILLAMAINO, East Longmeadow

Villamaino was endorsed by Scott Brown, but we don't know much more about him. The winner takes on Ashe.

House - 3rd Hampden - Agawam, Southwick

Incumbent: Rosemary Sandlin

D -*ROSEMARY SANDLIN, Agawam  [MEQ]  [PP]

D - MARK DEL NEGRO, Agawam

House - 6th Hampden - W.Springfield, Springfield, Chicopoee

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: James Welch (running for Senate)

R - GREGORY NEFFINGER, West Springfield

R - DEAN VOGEL, West Springfield

Both of these candidates are 100% pro-family. The winner takes on Democrat Michael Finn, who we're told is not particularly strong.

House - 9th Hampden - Springfield, Chicopee

Incumbent: Sean Curran

D -*SEAN CURRAN, Springfield

D - CHRISTOPHER ASSELIN, Springfield

Asselin used to hold this seat, but had to leave to serve some time in jail. He certainly has chutzpah for running again. Both of them voted pro-marriage, tho Curran is bad on a lot of other things. Asselin was friendly to the pro-family cause -- it would be interesting to see him back. The winner takes on an Independent.

House - 1st Middlesex - Groton, Pepperall, Ayer

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Robert Hargraves (not running)

R - SHEILA HARRINGTON, Groton

R - CORNELIUS SULLIVAN, Ayer

Harrington is considered a staunch pro-family person. This has been a Republican district and hopefully should continue that way.

D - JANE MORRISS, Groton

D - JESSE REICH, Ayer  [PP]

D - ANTHONY SABOLIAUSKAS, Pepperell

House - 6th Middlesex - Framingham

Incumbent: Pam Richardson

D -*PAM RICHARDSON, Framingham  [MEQ]  [PP]

D - CHRIS WALSH, Framingham

Chris Walsh barely lost to Richardson in the 2008 primary (by 3 points). The winner takes on two Independents. Let's hope that Richardson gets beat this time.

House - 12th Middlesex - Newton

Incumbent: Ruth Balser

D -*RUTH BALSER, Newton  [MEQ]  [PP]

D - JOHN BORTONE, Newton

Borton describes himself as a "very conservative Democrat" which is good enough for us. He's also endorsed by MCFL. We'll definitely take him over Balser. There's no Republican so the winner gets it.

House - 22nd Middlesex - Billerica

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: William Greene (not running)

D - KEVIN CONWAY, Billerica

D - JARRETT SCARPACI, Billerica

R - BRION CANGIAMILA, Billerica

House - 28th Middlesex - Everett, Malden

Incumbent: Stephen Stat Smith

D -*STEPHEN STAT SMITH, Everett  [MEQ]

D - JOHN HANLON, Everett

Smith is really bad and anyone would be better. Hanlon is rated 100% by MCFL, though that's not always a perfect indicator. There is no Republican. The winner takes on Dennis Gianatassio of Everett, an independent.

House - 32nd Middlesex - Melrose, Wakefield

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Katherine Clark (running for Senate)

R - ERIC ESTEVEZ, Wakefield

R - DAVID LUCAS, Melrose

House: 12th Plymouth - Kingston, Plympton

Incumbent: Thomas Calter

R - BEN WILSON BURNS QUELLE, Middleborough

R - JOE TRUSCHELLI, Plymouth

Calter slithered in in 2008 by being the only candidate on the ballot. This is a fairly conservative district and he should be very vulnerable.

House - 2nd Worcester - Gardner, Ashburnham

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Robert Rice (not running)

D - AMY FEELEY-KNUUTTILA, Winchendon

D - PATRICK GERRY, Gardner  [MEQ]

D - KATHY GABRIEL, Boston

D - RUSSELL HOLMES, Boston  [Globe]

D - DARRIN HOWELL, Boston

D - DIVO MONTEIRO, Boston

D - KAREN PAYNE, Boston  [MEQ]  [PP]

It's not hard to tell that the far left will be supporting Karen Payne in this race, although strangely the Globe endorsed Holmes. Monteiro is endorsed by MCFL. There's no Republican or Independent running, so it's winner take all in this primary.

House - 10th Suffolk - Boston, Brookline

OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Michael Rush (running for Senate)

D - MATTHEW BENEDETTI, Boston

D - EDWARD COPPINGER, Boston  [Globe]

D - BOB JOYCE, Boston

D - PAMELA (PAM) JULIAN, Brookline

D - PAUL SULLIVAN, Boston

D - KELLY ANN TYNAN, Boston

In this six-person primary race for an open seat there are no Republicans running so the winner gets it.  Bob Joyce is about the best pro-family guy you’ll ever see, is a lawyer, and is very smart. And to our knowledge, the others are marginal at best. Can Joyce get enough of a slice of the vote to get through?  We've been told that Coppinger has the edge in this race. So if anybody can get out there and help Joyce, by all means to it!

House - 15th Suffolk - Boston, Brookline

Incumbent: Jeffrey Sánchez

D -*JEFFREY SÁNCHEZ, Boston  [MEQ]

D - JEFFREY HERMAN, Boston

Both are considered "anti-life" by MCFL.

Governor's Council

The Governor's Council is a little known but very important group. They approve -- or deny -- all judicial appointments. A lot of bad judges are on the bench because the Governor's Council was just rubber-stamping things and not doing their job of scrutinizing them properly.  The Governor's Council is made up of 8 people elected from 8 districts, and is chaired by the Lt. Governor, who also votes. They meet generally monthly at the State House.

In the Sept. 14 primary there are three particularly important races. In the First District, Joe Ureneck is an outstanding pro-family candidate who we would love to see elected.  In the Fifth District, incumbent Mary Ellen Manning has been a thorn in the establishment's side, so they are running someone against her in the Democrat primary. Similarly, in the Third District Marilyn Devaney is facing an establishment-backed opponent for her outspokenness and willingness to challenge bad appointments. In the Second and Fourth districts, the incumbents are hacks and deserve to be tossed out.  (Interesting note: In the First District races, the two Cipollinis are actually brothers!)

FIRST DISTRICT – OPEN SEAT - Incumbent: Carole A Fiola

D - OLIVER CIPOLLINI, Barnstable

D - JEFFREY GREGORY, Fall River

D - THOMAS HALLAHAN, Oak Bluffs

D - WALTER MONIZ, Fairhaven

D - PATRICIA MOSCA, Bourne

R - CHARLES CIPOLLINI, Fall River

R - JOE URENECK, Boston

SECOND DISTRICT - Incumbent: Kelly Timilty

D * KELLY TIMILTY, Dedham

D - ROBERT JUBINVILLE, Milton

THIRD DISTRICT - Incumbent: Marilyn Devaney

D -*MARILYN DEVANEY, Watertown

D - COREY BELANGER, Lowell

FOURTH DISTRICT - Incumbent: Christopher Ianella

D -*CHRISTOPHER IANNELLA, Boston

D - STEPHEN FLYNN, Hull

FIFTH DISTRICT - Incumbent: Mary-Ellen Manning

D -*MARY-ELLEN MANNING, Salem

D - JASON PANOS, Peabody

SIXTH DISTRICT - Incumbent: Michael Callahan [OPEN]

D - SUZANNE ENGLISH-MERULLO, Winchester

D - TERRENCE KENNEDY, Lynnfield

1. Your guide to the September 14 primary elections in Massachusetts.

Fueled by the Scott Brown election in January, voter anger in Massachusetts has brought a surge of candidates for office that hasn’t been seen in decades. There has also been a higher than usual number of incumbents deciding not to run again. As a result, there is an unusually high number of primary races this year.

On Tuesday’s there are 85 primaries affecting 215 candidates -- including Congressional seats, the major constitutional offices, stage house and senate, and Governor’s Council. And there are more candidates not in primaries awaiting the Nov. 2 general election.

We’ve tried our best to get you good information on as many races as possible, and we’ll be updating our web page right up until election day as needed.  And we also have info on the important major write-in races.

Your help needed in important write-in races

If you live in Massachusetts you can make a difference this Tuesday . . .

Click here.

Since the convention two outstanding and well-qualified candidates have come forward
willing to challenge Baker and Tisei as pro-family write-in candidates. They are:

Scott Lively for Governor   and Keith Davis for Lt. Governor.

It is VERY important that you vote for these two in Tuesday’s primary.

If enough people do this -- and we are encouraging everyone -- this will send a message to the RINO Republican establishment.

Other primary races this Tuesday that stand out

See the entire list HERE

  • Senate - Third Middlesex (Waltham, Chelmsford, Lincoln)
Sandi Martinez vs Eric Dahlberg  (Republicans)
    Incumbent: Susan Fargo (Democrat)

  • Fourth Congressional - Barney Frank’s district
    Sean Bielat vs Earl Sholley

This is a lot like the Sandi Martinez situation (above).

  • Democrat primary race for state Auditor
Guy Glodis, Suzanne Bump, Mike Lake

Former state rep Guy Glodis would be a Republican in any other state, and is certainly more conservative than the Republican establishment here. A Boston Globe columnist recently complained that Glodis "on the wrong side of nearly every liberal issue -- gay rights, the death penalty, gun control, taxes, and diversity." On the other hand, Suzanne Bump (who marched in June's Boston Pride Parade) and Mike Lake are textbook leftists. We think Glodis has the campaign in place to win this one. The state Auditor would seem to be immune from "culture war" issues. But a huge problem is that enormous tax money going to left-wing programs goes un-audited and unaccounted for. That needs to stop.

  • Tenth Congressional District – (SE Mass, Cape, Islands)
Republican primary: Jeff Perry vs Joe Malone (and others).

This has probably gotten the most press of any primary race. We wish we could endorse Jeffrey Perry because he is with us on all the issues and as a State Representative has been fearless on the immigration issue. But when the pressure is on, he's let us down a few times on key things. His support for Eric Dahlberg over Sandi Martinez (see above) in their state senate race is horrible, since Dahlberg is pro-choice and pro same-sex "marriage". Joe Malone is pro-choice but good on the other social stuff. He's endorsed by the Boston Globe and a liberal Herald columnist, and of course that makes us wonder. He seems to have brushed off the money scandal back when he was State Treasurer. Ray Kasperowicz, who is also running, is pro-choice and doesn't seem quite ready for the big leagues.

  • House - 10th Suffolk (Boston, Brookline)
Democrat primary: Bob Joyce, four others

In this six-person primary race for an open seat there are no Republicans running so the winner gets it.  Bob Joyce is about the best pro-family guy you’ll ever see, is a lawyer, and is very smart. And to our knowledge, the others are marginal at best. Can Joyce get enough of a slice of the vote to get through?  We know that that the homosexual lobby is capable of pulling off something like this if they need to. Can conservative groups do it? This will be interesting to see.

4. Powerful commentary: "The last refuge of a liberal."

Many of you may have already have seen this. If so, it's worth reading again. It was originally published last week in newspapers across the country and on the Internet. We're not normally the biggest fans of Charles Krauthammer, but he really hit it this time.

Krauthammer is shining a light on why we must never be cowed or intimidated by the Left. We need to constantly stand strong and face them -- especially when their ideas and actions are being exposed as fraudulend and destructive -- and not be afraid of their bullying and lies.

The last refuge of a liberal
By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, August 27, 2010; A21

Liberalism under siege is an ugly sight indeed. Just yesterday it was all hope and change and returning power to the people. But the people have proved so disappointing. Their recalcitrance has, in only 19 months, turned the predicted 40-year liberal ascendancy (James Carville) into a full retreat. Ah, the people, the little people, the small-town people, the "bitter" people, as Barack Obama in an unguarded moment once memorably called them, clinging "to guns or religion or" -- this part is less remembered -- "antipathy toward people who aren't like them."

That's a polite way of saying: clinging to bigotry. And promiscuous charges of bigotry are precisely how our current rulers and their vast media auxiliary react to an obstreperous citizenry that insists on incorrect thinking.

-- Resistance to the vast expansion of government power, intrusiveness and debt, as represented by the Tea Party movement? Why, racist resentment toward a black president.

-- Disgust and alarm with the federal government's unwillingness to curb illegal immigration, as crystallized in the Arizona law? Nativism.

-- Opposition to the most radical redefinition of marriage in human history, as expressed in Proposition 8 in California? Homophobia.

-- Opposition to a 15-story Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero? Islamophobia.

Now we know why the country has become "ungovernable," last year's excuse for the Democrats' failure of governance: Who can possibly govern a nation of racist, nativist, homophobic Islamophobes?

Note what connects these issues. In every one, liberals have lost the argument in the court of public opinion. Majorities -- often lopsided majorities -- oppose President Obama's social-democratic agenda (e.g., the stimulus, Obamacare), support the Arizona law, oppose gay marriage and reject a mosque near Ground Zero.

What's a liberal to do? Pull out the bigotry charge, the trump that preempts debate and gives no credit to the seriousness and substance of the contrary argument. The most venerable of these trumps is, of course, the race card. When the Tea Party arose, a spontaneous, leaderless and perfectly natural (and traditionally American) reaction to the vast expansion of government intrinsic to the president's proudly proclaimed transformational agenda, the liberal commentariat cast it as a mob of angry white yahoos disguising their antipathy to a black president by cleverly speaking in economic terms.

Then came Arizona and S.B. 1070. It seems impossible for the left to believe that people of good will could hold that: (a) illegal immigration should be illegal, (b) the federal government should not hold border enforcement hostage to comprehensive reform, i.e., amnesty, (c) every country has the right to determine the composition of its immigrant population.

As for Proposition 8, is it so hard to see why people might believe that a single judge overturning the will of 7 million voters is an affront to democracy? And that seeing merit in retaining the structure of the most ancient and fundamental of all social institutions is something other than an alleged hatred of gays -- particularly since the opposite-gender requirement has characterized virtually every society in all the millennia until just a few years ago?

And now the mosque near Ground Zero. The intelligentsia is near unanimous that the only possible grounds for opposition is bigotry toward Muslims. This smug attribution of bigotry to two-thirds of the population hinges on the insistence on a complete lack of connection between Islam and radical Islam, a proposition that dovetails perfectly with the Obama administration's pretense that we are at war with nothing more than "violent extremists" of inscrutable motive and indiscernible belief. Those who reject this as both ridiculous and politically correct (an admitted redundancy) are declared Islamophobes, the ad hominem du jour.

It is a measure of the corruption of liberal thought and the collapse of its self-confidence that, finding itself so widely repudiated, it resorts reflexively to the cheapest race-baiting (in a colorful variety of forms). Indeed, how can one reason with a nation of pitchfork-wielding mobs brimming with "antipathy toward people who aren't like them" -- blacks, Hispanics, gays and Muslims -- a nation that is, as Michelle Obama once put it succinctly, "just downright mean"?

The Democrats are going to get beaten badly in November. Not just because the economy is ailing. And not just because Obama over-read his mandate in governing too far left. But because a comeuppance is due the arrogant elites whose undisguised contempt for the great unwashed prevents them from conceding a modicum of serious thought to those who dare oppose them.

The culture of death starts with bad ideas constantly forced on us in a facist-like manner. As free citizens we must constantly confront it or it will consume us.

SEND A NOTE TO THE DEPT OF EDUCATION ON BULLYING!  TODAY!

As for me, I have been bullied since I was born, by arrogant people everywhere who are tasteless insensitive and ugly.  I teach manners.  That is the way to beat the bullies.  Yes, sometimes it is turning the other cheek as well, and sometimes coming up with a quick pop in the nose helps as well.  The wicked bullies will get theirs.  But we are talking about a serious breach in the way people think.  We are talking about enforcing wrong and punishing right.  We are using illogical arguments to common sense to abuse good people.

The Bible is full of good advice in Proverbs.  That will curb a lot of bullies from doing their violence to innocent people.  But we are tossing that book of wisdom out the window these days.  The Dept of Education used to teach the Bible and learning to read was to learn to read the Bible. But we have gotten so smart we are bigger and wiser and stronger than that book of sayings.  We are not winning this war on bullies or violence because we refuse to acknowledge these ways are sin.

Bullies are sinners who need to be saved to act right.  That is my opinion and that is the truth.  When that is back on the front burner.. people will have remorse and feel bad for what they do.  Not until.

Bullying is done in all ages and sexes.  It is a way of life for some people.  They are so good at it they no longer know they are bullies.  Just focusing on Homosexual victims is not the answer.  That is too narrow a focus.  The root problem is jealousy.  Jealousy of good conduct provokes bullies to pick on their victims until they find a way to break them down and make them eat cow.  Because we are all sinners and have all lost our way we will never cure the bully syndrome by making kids feel ashamed while they are still examining their behaviors and fixing them.  We need to steer kids appropriately to honor their parents teachers and government officials.  Honor God first and the other will follow in cadence.  Without the first block we are only enforcing head banging on a general nuisance level.

Feel free to repost this anywhere.  August 24 2010

The Department of Education will not despise the morality of our children by pinning the condoms on the Jack Ass  of politically correct educational corruptions.  This Nation Under God will not be ridiculed in its equality by challenging the verbal continence of truth through distortion of truth.  A people will rise up and resist this mockery of our liberties.  We shall see it and it shall be a consequence of truth as it defends itself.  Who are you?  Which side do you stand on America.. who are you in this cosm of time?  Who are you individuals?  Are you in step with reality?  Whose Reality?  Pick up your stick and stand ready.. August 9 2010 Breaking News..

While the following story was breaking out of California, Catch of the Day, Video News was in Chicago covering the AFTAH Convention.  Traveling this summer to Arkansas, St.Louis, and Kansas City Missouri, Aldrich attempted to get a pulse on the current Election nerve issues around subjects like the Gay Identity Issues affecting America from sea to shining sea.  \

Please stay tuned for some dramatic coverage and perspective in the next few weeks. Here is a clip on Proposition 8 Constitutional Crisis we face.  Who will become believing again when it comes to the power of the Citizenry to diffuse Government Marxist seige.  We are are at war folks in every level of the social strata.  This is just the beginning and what will they do next to stop pubic outcry as it occurs.  The Press is under their control ??? up to your imagination now.

Starting back this week of August 22 to post and update.  My apologies to anyone using and relying on my posts.  JAldrich

To find my footage on u Tube please check www.aftah.org, they posted my footage of Ryan Sorba ...

Last Friday, California Federal Judge overturns Proposition 8 the Peoples vote to retain Marriage for one man one woman.  When will the Courts take a correct role in this subject.  It was planned long ago it is becoming more obvious.  At each juncture the Courts have been loaded with the Gay identity Guns and have fired relentlessly at the People.  Now the children are the target and families are being attacked in the bedrooms of iniquity.  Because the Churches are entangled in their own penetrations the penitence needed is avoided for Political correctness.  No one wants to come forward and admit the challenge is widespread in every corner.  Each is determined to fight their own part and not see the full specter of opposition to decent morality.  God save the Commonwealth of the American People.  I hope you have prayed yourself up enough to withstand the next part of the battle.  We all know the story of the German takeover.. they came for them and I was too busy.. then they came for me and there was no one left to help me.. Wake up America.. truth is falling in the streets and when will you scream no!

www.Americansfortruth.org,     Please visit the site for an update on the convention last week and the outstanding testimony .  Two individuals attended that were from the Gay identity side.  One was recording from the start on an audio recorder and was seen across the room on film by Catch of the Day.  It is one thing to attend a paid event and another to spy.  This recorder was openly recording the event.  A second individual was later typing notes into a computer.  There could have been recording going on but it was not determined at this time.  If that was to be so that constituted a crime.  One must be openly recording to be considered legitimate although this event was permission only.  There was one hired recorder and they will be producing a for sale item.  i recommend every Church in the Country order this series of 24 lectures on the Gay Identity subject.  Catch of the Day also taped the event and will be contributing the tapes to the Group.  The package to be purchased will be through AFTAH.  J Aldrich, considers this the most important single meeting ever attended on this subject.  It is worth 250.00  It is being sold for less.  i would suggest if you would pay that amount as a donation.  The speakers were solidly attended and will be doing the entire Country a great service by their knowledge.  Thank you AFTAH for this Convention.

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/45711  Obama makes a plan to send thousands to Afganistan with no end in site and calls June Homosexual Month, and wants to get rid of Don't ask don't tell,  Doma and whatever this nation believes in morally.  What is goinga on!  Wake up America! Does that represent you??

Army wants to make the gay story go away and not talk about it.. ok.. so he likes don't ask don't tell.. and the military owns the members while serving so they will do whatever they like.. but the plan is to sidestep the Marines and pass it without them.. no more tight military.. this is a divide and conquer plan.. the D& C plan.. all politics as usual to me.. I am so confoosed..

So how do we fix this?? Obama fires General Mc......forget.. the name.. he was the stonewall that was holding this dont ask dont tell repeal block up.. the prohomobamaphobe.. Watch and see show and tell gets even stranger as Massachusetts provincetown superintendant sets the tone for seven year old sexual addictions destroying the innocence of the dream.. to see this nation rise as a leader.. showing the fruit of our labor is righteousness..  Anyway, the General resigned.. and the fire is a lie.. he walked in and put his resignation papers on the table..  he is a hero to buck the black buck in the whitehouse.  The same buck that stated for the next four years I am white!  The same day 11 soldiers died and who knows who got their head chopped off.. that will come out won't it but not til most are forgetting this event happened at all.  I am sure the troops felt the pangs of change from the top.. in their steadfast enduring endurance.  Patrayal doesn't care about don't ask don't tell repeal..

my comment.. why didn't all the Generals dig their heels in and defend their Patriot Commmader.. D & C divide and conquer accomplished.. we are talking about balls here arn't we.. How about making him President next election!

Starbucks sexual harrassment case.. so much for sweet sixteen.. remember that when you go for your bitter coffee in the morning.. posted June 7 2010

OK june2010 case going on where a guy wants access to church after serving time as sex offender.

Well, does he understand the evidence is established there is practically no reversal after the addiction starts in?  So he wants access build trust with children who will see a double standard working and will be using scripture to gain access.  This case will be a head banger for sure. So how does the next story apply to this one?  You cannot judge correctly without the Word of God.  Let's see how they can do juris legal damage this principle.

Hypothetical goes viral.. but wait.. the supreme Court just did extend sentencing for sex offenders indefinitely if someone in authority thinks... thinks.. think..s.. he will reoffend... gotta see this one and where this is going.. This is what happens when we have gutless people on the supreme court.. with no grasp of the law..

Brief filed by Martha Coakley AG and for more information on this case go to  http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/10b/scotus_coakley/index.html

In the New Testament today the reading was from the Catholic version Bible Acts of the Apostles.. chapter 15 verses 28 and 29 letter to the Non Jewish Believers.. states to stay away from unlawful marriages, catholic version,  if you do this you will do well.. very pertinent.. other translations call it fornication, kj,  sexual sin, sexual immorality, niv, revised standard, unchastity,  revised standard version..

This Plaintiff moving party is in disharmony with the text of the scriptures disharmony with natures God  and is implying the law has no binding interest in the moral compass of  these above teachings in ActsoftheApostles Book in the New Testament or in strict interpretation of immorality in Deuteronomy such as fornication or  homosexual conduct ,  this is an assault on the Biblical definition of morality and reason by definition of the Holy Scriptures warnings of the by products of sexual misconduct , and not a choice on marriage. To assault the Bible with erroneous interpretation is not just it is mockery.  Editorial comment JAldrich 5710 a very special day.

Boston yesterday 5 6 10 about noon a fire alarm went off due to a real fire.. why just yesterday in the Boston  Federal District Court.. a little bit scary.. de ja vu ..  as people were evacuated and herded down stairwells.. I was there.. but we could not have National Prayer Day in Washington this year.. I suggested we all pray we could get back in the building as we stood outside on the edges of the Federal Building in Boston, Massachusetts.  connecting the dots..http://newsmeat.com/news/meat.php?articleId=74009100&channelId=2951&buyerId=newsmeatcom&buid=3281
