January 16, 2008 Wednesday Voter Registration deadline for Primaries Massachusetts Feb 4 vote
January
16, 2008 Depression in Youth 10am to 12pm Great Hall did not cover this, but much press was there..
Senate Reading Room 10am Press conference against the treatment of shock to mental patients with Senators
and those who oppose this treatment. Catch of the Day, taped this press conference..
Children and Families
and Peoples with Disablilities 10 30 am B 1 H1904 a bill to create a new level of treatment for behavioral
medicine.. treatment of disabled in mental institutions ref Rotenburg Shock tx A reporter from Me introduced himself
at the press conf in the Senate reading room, I was able to get permission for him to tape this hearing but....found
out later the crowds and heat in the room discouraged him from staying. Must advise all to not get in the fire..if they
can't take the heat but will say also that he had been through several surgeries and had additional difficulties
with the temp of a packed hearing room. The Gov Rottenburg Center taped the hearing and Cart was present but I did
not tape this or request to tape it as 4 other events were happening and that seemed like the biggest need. Sorry to
those who wish I had taped. Had I been asked previously I would have.. but this stands as good cause for the
hearings being taped as the public and the Committee loose when this public testimony information is lost
to the stratusphere of hearsay ...so be it so let it be done.
11AM Speaker DiMasi speaks to Veterans Agents Luncheon Grand Staircase
11AM A 1 Rep. Sciortano and Mass coalition and Gay Defenders address H1722
strategy to convince Judiciary at Feb Hearing. After requesting written permission this event was taped by Catch of
the Day..a copy will be given to Rep. Sciortano.
Please note Boston Marriott Peabody sorry I got this wrong
earlier, someone corrected me.. is running a demo on transgeneration lifestyle as a public event for 4 days..I would
suggest all representatives visit this event for a deeper understanding of this process.
11am Rm 222 Committee on Bonding and Capital Expenditures Life Sciences Legislation H4234 This event was running at same
time as above and so was audio taped for about 2 hours and then videotaped for remainder. I will add some testimony was lost as my camera shut off two times without my notice .. Many College Presidents lobbyied for this legislation.
the hearing went about 4 hours..
Public Hearing Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security Archetectural
Access Board discusses handicapped accessibility H3938 S395 et al. this hearing was audio taped and the last
hour videotaped..by catchof the day, video news... I sort of wish I could have bi located my camera and taped
both the upstairs and this one. The public testimony by the disabled community was astounding. They are coming up
to the plate and testifying more and I commend them..hats off to ya.. As I tape on my own with my imperfect selection
of what to tape I do the best I can. If I could get some heads up sometimes it would help..but then maybe
I would be in one of my senior moments and the whole thing would just go ....wheh....over my head..
please
advocate with your rep to loose docket 4527 to the floor before the new administration is in place. That may put a lot
of dis..into the bill if we wait..please advocate..with me.. Call rules committee and ask they loose the docket to the
floor for a Committee Hearing vote.. pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese...
