Massachusetts, The Monument for the Mayflower Pilgrims will host an all day Repentance
Day, gathering of Christians Jews and others to remember the Statue for Religious Freedom in America. Built by the same family that built the Statue of Liberty this gathering followed later at the
Memorial Hall in Downtown Plymouth from 12pm -4pm. The event will be part of
a film Monumental. and those participating were advised they will be possibly
on camera. A large crane was used to film both events. PrayTV of Beverly, taped live stream in the Hall. Comflm Reporters were on site and posting their footage links here at some point. Approximately
1000 people filled Memorial Hall to the rafters before the event ended. It
seemed people just came all day adding to the numbers.

US Constitution Day, September 20, 2010 was celebrated in
Nurses Hall on Monday from 10AM to 2PM. This was not advertised on the Statehouse News. Catch of the Day, Video
News, did cover this event and it will be up on Blip in the near future.
RAMADAN CEREMONY: The American Islamic Congress hosts the second-annual “Salute to
Ramadan” at the State House, presenting a donation of rice to the Pine Street Inn to help feed homeless residents. The
ceremony includes remarks from local leaders and students, as well as “artistic performances” and presentations
of legislative resolutions. (Tuesday, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m., Nurses Hall) This event was not covered this year 2010

Ashburton Place Ethics Public Meeting/Hearing ETHICS REGS: The State Ethics Commission
holds the first of two hearings this week on regulations pertaining to the commission’s implementation of new ethics
statutes enacted last year, including exemptions from conflict of interest laws, the statute of limitations on violations,
statements of financial interest, and the definition of “governmental body” as it pertains to the prohibition
of lobbying a one’s former employer for a year after leaving. (Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., One Ashubrton Place,
